What is PROCOMM?

PROCOMM stands for IEEE Communication Project Competition. It's the signature technical contest hosted by the IEEE ComSoc Kerala Chapter, specifically designed to foster innovation and practical problem-solving in communications and networking.

Who Can Participate?

Structure of the Competition

📝Level 1: Online Abstract Presentation

  • Participants are required to submit an abstract addressing one of the provided problem statements.
  • Entries may be submitted individually or as a team, with a maximum of four members per team.
  • Participants may select from 5–6 curated problem statements.
  • All submitted abstracts will undergo a thorough evaluation process, and a shortlist will be prepared for the subsequent stage.
  • Shortlisted teams will be invited to present their concepts in an online review session before an expert panel.
  • The top six teams, as determined by the panel, will advance to the final onsite round.

💡Level 2: Offline Hardwarethon

  • 24-hour onsite hardwarethon.
  • Shortlisted teams will develop and demonstrate their prototypes at the venue.
  • Participants are required to bring any components not provided by the organizers.
  • Prototypes will be presented to a judging panel, and winners will be announced following the evaluations.
